Scope: Central Line Overhaul: Established an in-house engineering upgrade and overhaul programme on the Central Line rolling stock fleet (85 trains over 24 months). Scope included doors, ventilation systems, 1400 bogies, 2800 motors and 5600 brake actuators. This investment resulted in a threefold improvement in the mean distance between failures (MDBF)* - providing an improved journey for the 650,000 daily passengers and enhancing revenue for MRBCV where the 74 Km Central Line contributed some 50% of total income.
